Titanium socket head cap screws are the most widely used titanium fastener in precision engineering assemblies. Their cylindrical head with internal hexagon socket (Allen) drive delivers high torque capability without the external wrench clearance needed for hex bolts, making them ideal for tight-clearance, high-strength joints. Unlike button head or countersunk variants, socket head cap screws maintain a tall cylindrical head for maximum drive engagement — the strongest head style among socket-driven screws.

Commonly referenced to DIN 912 (German) and its international equivalent ISO 4762. Feinuotai supplies these screws in commercially pure titanium (Grade 1, Grade 2) and titanium alloy (Grade 5 / Ti-6Al-4V), with additional grades available on request. Metric M2–M24 and inch #0–7/16 sizes coordinated.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between socket head cap screws, button head and countersunk socket screws?

Socket head cap (DIN 912): Tall cylindrical head — maximum drive strength, head protrudes above surface.
Button head (ISO 7380): Low-profile rounded head — less protrusion, moderate strength.
Countersunk (DIN 7991): Head sits flush with mating surface — requires 90° countersink in the mating part. Each has different head heights, drive depths and load capacities — specify which variant you require.

Which grade should I choose?

Grade 2 CP titanium for general corrosion resistance, moderate strength and electrical / medical compatibility.
Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) for higher tensile and shear strength, widely used in aerospace and high-load joints.
Grade 7, 9, 23 etc. are available by order — discuss your environment and mechanical requirements.

Are titanium fasteners available in all DIN and ISO standards?

We maintain standard coordinated supply for the DIN / ISO fastener families listed on this site. Additional standards (EN, BS, JIS, ASME) are reviewed per inquiry against material grade, size and quantity. Some standards (e.g. high-strength steel classes) may not have a direct titanium equivalent — we will advise.

How is the strength of titanium socket head cap screws specified?

Titanium fastener strength is defined by material grade and part geometry, not the steel property classes (8.8, 10.9, 12.9) you may see on steel fasteners. Actual mechanical properties depend on grade, diameter, thread engagement, heat treatment and manufacturing route. We provide verified data sheets per order — please specify your design requirements when inquiring.
