Titanium hex nuts are the standard mating threaded component that pairs with titanium hex bolts, socket head cap screws and stud bolts. Unlike bolt heads, nuts are externally hexagonal (external wrench drive) and carry no inherent head-load — their function is to engage the bolt thread and convert torque into clamping force. For critical assemblies, the nut grade should match or exceed the bolt grade to avoid nut thread failure before bolt fracture.

Commonly referenced to DIN 934 with ISO 4032 as the international equivalent. Feinuotai supplies DIN 934 hex nuts from M4 through M48 in Grade 2 CP titanium and Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V alloy, in both standard coarse and fine metric pitches.

Product Range & Specifications

DIN 934 / ISO 4032 commonly referenced. Confirm thread pitch with your mating bolt.

T

Thread Size & Pitch

Regular Pitch: DIN 934 coarse pitch (e.g. M8×1.25).
Fine Pitch: Available on request (e.g. M8×1, M10×1.25).
Always specify pitch together with thread size.

M

Metric Dimensions

Standard Range: M4–M48 (DIN 934).
Custom Supply: M2.5, M52+ and non-standard dimensions per drawing.
Stock Availability: M5–M24 coarse pitch in Gr2 & Gr5.

G

Grade Options

Regular: Grade 2 (CP Ti) & Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V alloy).
Coordinated: Grade 1, Grade 7, Grade 9, Grade 23 — subject to order quantity.
Note: Nut strength should be equal to or greater than the bolt strength grade. Grade 5 bolt with Grade 2 nut is possible but reduces overall joint capacity to the weaker nut.

S

Standard References

DIN 934 (metric hex nut), ISO 4032 (international), ASME B18.2.2 (inch nuts on request).

X

Custom Manufacturing

Non-standard nut dimensions, material grades, special thread pitches, self-locking (nylon insert) and locking flange variants coordinated per drawing. Minimum order quantities apply.

P

Packaging

Bag / box / wooden case per request. Bulk, small-lot and export packaging supported.

Typical Application Areas

C

Chemical Equipment

Bolt-and-nut assemblies for vessels, columns & heat exchangers.

M

Marine / Offshore

Saltwater-resistant threaded pairs.

F

Flange Connections

Mating component for stud bolt flange clamping (with two hex nuts per stud).

G

General Industrial

The standard companion component when you specify titanium bolts or screws.

Quality & Documentation

Thread gauge verification, material test certificates, dimensional reports (width across flats, nut height, thread pitch diameter) and surface treatment documentation available per order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should nut grade match bolt grade exactly?

For critical load-bearing assemblies where bolt fracture is the designed failure mode, nut grade should match bolt grade (Grade 5 bolt with Grade 5 nut). For non-critical or low-load joints, a Grade 2 nut can be paired with a Grade 5 bolt — the joint capacity is then determined by the Grade 2 nut strength. Always specify both bolt and nut grade together.

What is the difference between DIN 934, DIN 982 and DIN 6923 nuts?

DIN 934: Plain hex nut — standard mating nut for hex bolts and socket screws.
DIN 982: Nylon-insert self-locking hex nut — plastic insert prevents loosening under vibration.
DIN 6923: Flange hex nut — integrated circular flange under the nut eliminates the need for a separate washer.
Specify which nut type your application requires.

How do I know what thread pitch my bolt uses?

Standard coarse pitch for metric bolts is defined in DIN 933 / 931 / 912 / 7991 etc. (e.g. M6 coarse = 1 mm pitch, M8 = 1.25 mm, M10 = 1.5 mm). Fine pitches are non-standard — check your bolt drawing or contact us with the bolt specification. Always specify pitch together with thread size.

Request a Quotation for Titanium Hex Nuts (DIN 934 / ISO 4032)

Tell us thread size (e.g. M10), pitch (coarse or fine), grade (Grade 2 or Grade 5) and quantity. For self-locking or custom requirements, specify variant after initial contact.
