Headless titanium set screws (grub screws) — sit entirely within the threaded hole, with a tip profile that secures, locates or adjusts mating parts. DIN 913 through DIN 916 commonly referenced.
DIN 913 (flat), DIN 914 (cone), DIN 915 (dog), DIN 916 (cup) — specify point type.
DIN 913 flat end (plane tip), DIN 914 cone (90° conical), DIN 915 dog / half-dog, DIN 916 cup (rounded cup). Each serves a distinct application — specify at inquiry.
Hexagon socket (Allen). Drive size = screw diameter ÷ 4 (approximate).
Metric coarse & fine pitch. Full thread along entire length.
Standard Range: M1.4–M20 (DIN 913–916). Lengths in millimeters per standard.
Custom Supply: Non-standard lengths, point geometries, thread pitches per drawing.
Stock Availability: M3–M10 common lengths (DIN 913 / 914 / 916) in Gr2.
Regular: Grade 2 (CP Ti) & Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V alloy).
Coordinated: Grade 1, Grade 7, Grade 9, Grade 23 — subject to order quantity.
DIN 913 (flat), DIN 914 (cone), DIN 915 (dog), DIN 916 (cup). ISO 4026–4029 international equivalents.
Custom point geometries (e.g. knurled cup, long dog), special thread pitches and lengths coordinated per drawing.
Bag / box / wooden case per request. Bulk and export packaging supported.
DIN 914 cone & DIN 916 cup point set screws to lock gears, pulleys & collars to shafts.
DIN 913 flat point for precise mechanical adjustment in machinery & fixtures.
DIN 915 dog point for precise locating in matching holes.
Where a headless fastener is required to secure small components without protrusion.
DIN 914 cone (90°): Permanent or semi-permanent shaft locking — the conical tip seats in a matching conical hole in the shaft.
DIN 916 cup (rounded): Semi-permanent locking — creates a shallow detent in the shaft (no matching hole needed).
DIN 913 flat: Precision adjustment screws — the flat tip pushes against the mating surface to set position, not to lock rotation.
DIN 915 dog / half-dog: Locating screws — the protruding dog end sits in a drilled hole for positive location.
Specify the point type together with your application.
Set screw (DIN 913–916): headless — sits entirely within the threaded hole. Used to press against another part (shaft, collar, pin) to secure it. No load-carrying head — not for clamping two parts together.
Socket head cap screw (DIN 912): has a head — used to clamp two parts together through a clearance hole. Different function completely. Specify which you need.
Set screw engagement depth is typically one to two times the screw diameter into the mating thread, with the tip protruding appropriately (cone point seats in a hole, cup point protrudes slightly, flat point protrudes minimally). The rule of thumb: the screw should be at least as long as the hole depth minus any required tip clearance. Consult your design or specify hole depth when inquiring.
