Grade 1 commercially pure titanium sheet — the softest and most ductile CP titanium grade — for chemical equipment, tanks, ductwork and general industrial fabrication where formability matters more than strength.
Product Overview — Grade 1 is the lowest-alloyed commercially pure titanium grade (UNS R50250). It has the lowest tensile strength of the CP grades but the highest ductility — it bends, forms and cold-works more easily than Grade 2, 3 or 4, and welds cleanly without special pre-heat. These properties make Grade 1 the preferred grade for titanium components that need complex forming, deep drawing or tight-radius bending, where the formability advantage outweighs the lower strength.
Grade 1 sheet is commonly specified for chemical tanks and vessels, fume hoods and ductwork, linings, heat exchanger partitions and low-stress structural panels. It is a stocked grade — thickness, width and length are confirmed per inquiry together with quantity and supply form.
Long-form note for procurement: Grade selection between Grade 1 and Grade 2 often comes down to forming difficulty vs. wall thickness. If the design calls for tight-radius bends, deep dishing or complex cold forming, Grade 1 formability reduces the risk of cracking or springback and can allow thinner sections. For heavier-wall or higher-pressure applications where strength matters more, Grade 2 is usually the default choice. Feinuotai can help with this trade-off when you share the forming requirement and service condition.
Commercially pure titanium, UNS R50250. Lowest strength, highest ductility of the CP grades. Excellent formability and weldability.
Grade 1 is a regular stocked grade for flat titanium products. Available sheet thicknesses, widths and lengths are confirmed at inquiry time.
Grade 1 titanium sheet is supplied against ASTM B265 / B265M — the standard that governs titanium and titanium alloy strip, sheet and plate from 0.2 mm through 200 mm nominal thickness. Additional project-specific codes or specifications may be agreed per order.
Tanks, vessels, linings and reactor components where Grade 1 formability allows complex shapes and tight-radius bends.
Formed and welded Grade 1 sheet fume hoods, exhaust duct systems and laboratory-style ventilation structures.
Thin, flat, corrosion-resistant plates and baffles where Grade 1 formability matters.
Low-stress structural panels, guards and supports where corrosion resistance and formability are required.
Grade 1 is the lowest-alloyed commercially pure titanium grade. It has the lowest tensile strength of the CP grades but the highest ductility — making it the best titanium grade for forming, bending, deep drawing and cold working.
Grade 1 is softer, more ductile and lower strength. Grade 2 has slightly higher tensile strength while still being readily formable. In practice, Grade 1 is chosen when formability and cold-working performance are the primary drivers; Grade 2 is the default choice when a balance of strength, formability and corrosion resistance is needed.
