Square and rectangular cross-section titanium forged billets — near-net starting stock for multi-axis machining of brackets, housings and structural components.

Square and rectangular cross-section titanium forged billets — near-net starting stock for multi-axis machining of brackets, housings and structural components.
Titanium forged blocks are square or rectangular cross-section titanium forgings produced by open-die forging and upsetting of titanium billets. They provide near-net starting stock for components that require substantial multi-directional material removal during CNC machining — the forging process refines the internal grain structure and can offer better material yield and mechanical uniformity compared to machining from large-diameter round bar or thick plate.
Forged titanium blocks — also referred to as forged billets or preforms in some contexts — are supplied as semi-finished starting stock with machining allowances agreed per drawing. Feinuotai supplies forged titanium blocks through three supply routes — available stock items, made-to-order forging production, and custom forging coordination for non-standard geometries.
Forged blocks are produced by multi-directional open-die forging that compresses the starting titanium billet from multiple axes — the grain structure is more complex than in ring or disc forgings, which contributes to good multi-directional mechanical properties.
A starting titanium billet is forged from multiple directions to achieve the target square or rectangular cross-section. This multi-directional deformation refines the grain structure in all three dimensions, which is beneficial for components requiring multi-directional strength.
Because block forgings are deformed in multiple directions rather than primarily one axis, the grain structure is more equiaxed and less anisotropic than ring-rolled or upset-disc forgings. This makes forged blocks well-suited for prismatic components with loading in multiple directions.
In addition to fully sized forged blocks, Feinuotai can supply titanium billets and preforms — intermediate forging stages used as starting stock for your own secondary forging or forming operations. Billets are typically produced as square or round starting forms that you can further forge or machine into your specific shape.
Square or round titanium starting forms — supplied in forged or rolled condition. These billets are suitable for customers performing their own forging, upsetting or rolling operations. Grade and cross-section dimensions confirmed per requirement.
Partially forged intermediate shapes — closer to the final component geometry than raw billets. Preforms reduce downstream machining requirements and can improve final part properties.
Feinuotai supplies forged titanium blocks through three distinct routes. Not every block size or grade is available from stock — the appropriate supply route depends on your required dimensions, grade, quantity and delivery schedule.
Selected standard forged blocks and billets in common sizes — primarily Grade 1, Grade 2 CP titanium in frequently requested cross-sections. Stock items can be released quickly, typically 1–3 days for domestic shipment. Current stock dimensions and grades are subject to confirmation at inquiry.
Custom forged blocks produced through standard multi-directional open-die forging routes against customer drawings. Typical production completion time is approximately 5–10 days. Grade availability is reviewed against the block geometry and quantity.
Non-standard block geometries, extreme dimensions, unusual grade combinations or blocks requiring additional processing. Feinuotai manages the full supply process from drawing review through delivery.
Not every grade or dimension is held in stock. Stock availability is reviewed per inquiry.
Specify length, width and height per drawing.
Titanium forged blocks are specified by three primary dimensions — length, width and height. As semi-finished starting stock, blocks are typically supplied with machining allowance on all six faces. Customers should specify their required finished dimensions when submitting an inquiry so that appropriate forging allowances can be applied.
Grade feasibility and supply route are reviewed per inquiry.
Grade availability for forged blocks depends on the required block dimensions, grade and quantity. Commercially pure grades (Grade 1, Grade 2) are the most commonly supplied grades for block forging and are available through all three supply routes. Alloy grades such as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) require closer review of forging temperature windows and billet availability before feasibility can be confirmed.
Not every grade referenced in ASTM B381 is part of our current block supply range. Please specify your required grade when submitting an inquiry.
Titanium forged blocks supplied by Feinuotai reference ASTM B381 / B381M as the primary product standard. ASTM B381 specifies technical requirements for titanium and titanium alloy forgings, including square and rectangular forged forms.
Additional or alternative specifications may be agreed per order where project requirements demand particular forging routes, heat treatment conditions or inspection criteria beyond ASTM B381. Please specify any additional standard requirements when submitting an inquiry.

Forged titanium blocks and billets serve as semi-finished starting stock for prismatic or irregular components where a rectangular starting block is more material-efficient than a round bar or flat plate alternative. Common downstream components include brackets, support structures, valve manifolds, pump housings, heat exchanger components and special-purpose machinery parts. The multi-directional forging grain structure makes forged blocks beneficial for components with loading in multiple directions.
Forged titanium blocks are produced by multi-directional open-die forging — a starting titanium billet is forged from multiple directions to achieve the target square or rectangular cross-section. This multi-directional deformation creates a more equiaxed grain structure compared to ring-rolled or upset-disc forgings.
Forged blocks are fully sized rectangular forging forms supplied with machining allowance for direct CNC machining. Billets are smaller square or round starting forms that can be further forged or machined by the customer. Preforms are partially forged intermediate shapes between billet and final block.
Selected standard forged blocks and billets in common sizes are available from stock, primarily Grade 1 and Grade 2 CP titanium. Current stock dimensions and grades are subject to confirmation at inquiry.
Send your block drawing showing length, width and height — or describe the cross-section dimensions and required billet size — we will confirm stock availability or custom production feasibility and provide pricing.
