Titanium butt-weld reducers -- concentric reducers with centered bores, and eccentric reducers with offset bores -- for size transitions between different pipe diameters.
Titanium pipe reducers are butt-weld fittings used to transition between different nominal pipe sizes. Two configurations are standard: concentric reducers, where both ends share the same centerline (the most common type for vertical piping), and eccentric reducers, where the bores are offset to align the bottom or top edge (used in horizontal piping to avoid creating low points where fluid can accumulate).
Reducers are produced by forging or forming billet stock, then machined to final dimensions. Supply is reviewed per inquiry against standard, configuration (concentric or eccentric), large-end and small-end NPS, schedule, grade and quantity.
Reviewed against your required standard, configuration and nominal pipe sizes.
Commonly produced to ASME B16.9 for butt-weld fittings. Also reviewed against ASME B16.28 for thin-wall fittings.
Concentric (centered bores) and Eccentric (offset bores). Eccentric reducers specified with flat side down (FSD) or flat side up (FSU).
Industry Standard: NPS ½ through NPS 24 per ASME B16.9 — any large-end to small-end ratio.
Custom Manufacturing: Larger sizes and non-standard reductions custom evaluated.
Actual Supply Availability: Confirmed per inquiry against grade, schedule and wall thickness.
Concentric reducers for vertical lines where centerline alignment is maintained.
Eccentric reducers for horizontal lines to prevent liquid accumulation at the bottom of the reducer.
Size transitions between main pipe headers and smaller branch lines.
Eccentric reducers are preferred in horizontal piping to avoid creating a low point where liquid can accumulate, or a high point where vapor can collect. Specify "flat side down" (FSD) when the bottom must remain level, and "flat side up" (FSU) when the top must remain level.
Reducers are designated as Large-end NPS x Small-end NPS. For example, an 8x6 reducer goes from NPS 8 to NPS 6. Always specify both ends when ordering — and for eccentric reducers, also specify flat side up (FSU) or flat side down (FSD).
Concentric reducers maintain centerline alignment and are standard for vertical piping. Eccentric reducers align the bottom (FSD) or top (FSU) edge and are for horizontal piping to avoid low points or high points that can trap liquid or vapor.
Please specify the standard (e.g., ASME B16.9), configuration (concentric or eccentric), large-end NPS, small-end NPS, schedule, grade and quantity. For eccentric reducers, specify flat side up or down. For drawing-based or custom requirements, you may share your drawings with our sales team by email or WhatsApp after initial contact. Include material grade, dimensions, tolerances, quantity and drawing reference.
