Titanium 45 degree and 90 degree elbows -- long-radius (LR) and short-radius (SR) -- for directional changes in corrosion-resistant piping systems.
Titanium pipe elbows are butt-weld fittings used to change the direction of a pipeline. The most common bend angles are 90° (right angle), 45° and 180° (return bend). Within each angle, elbows are further classified by bend radius: long-radius (LR) elbows have a bend radius of 1.5 times the nominal pipe size (1.5D), and short-radius (SR) elbows have a bend radius of 1.0 times NPS (1.0D). LR elbows are preferred for higher-pressure and higher-velocity systems due to lower flow resistance and reduced turbulence. SR elbows are used where space is constrained but pressure and velocity are moderate.
180° return elbows are available primarily in long-radius (1.5D) configurations for U-bend heat exchanger returns and closed-loop circulation piping. Titanium elbows are produced by forging bar or billet stock, then hot-forming and CNC-machining to final dimensions. Supply is reviewed per inquiry against standard, angle, radius, NPS, schedule, grade and quantity.
Reviewed against your required standard, angle, radius and nominal pipe size.
ASME B16.9 for butt-weld fittings (primary). ASME B16.28 reviewed for thin-wall butt-weld fittings. ASTM B363 covers seamless and welded titanium pipe fittings including elbows. Regional standards such as EN 10253-2 reviewed per inquiry.
LR (1.5D) and SR (1.0D) in 45° and 90°. 180° return elbows in LR (1.5D). Custom angles and radii coordinated per drawing.
Industry Standard: NPS ½ through NPS 24 per ASME B16.9. Custom Manufacturing: larger sizes and non-standard dimensions evaluated per request. Actual Supply Availability confirmed per inquiry against grade, schedule and quantity.
Directional changes in corrosion-resistant acid and solvent piping circuits.
Elbows connecting titanium heat exchanger tube bundles to process piping.
Seawater and brine piping elbows in multi-effect distillation and reverse osmosis systems.
Long-Radius (LR, 1.5D) elbows are preferred for higher-pressure and higher-velocity systems due to lower flow resistance and lower turbulence. Short-Radius (SR, 1.0D) elbows save space but create higher pressure drop. SR elbows are not recommended for high-velocity or high-pressure critical service.
Yes -- 180° return elbows are available, primarily in long-radius (1.5D) configuration. These are used for U-bend heat exchanger returns, closed-loop circulation piping and similar applications where the pipe doubles back on itself. Availability confirmed per NPS, schedule and grade.
Grade 1 and Grade 2 CP titanium are commonly supplied from available stock for standard ASME B16.9 elbows. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Grade 7, Grade 9, Grade 12 and Grade 23 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) elbows can be evaluated per inquiry against the required NPS, schedule and quantity.
Please specify the standard (e.g., ASME B16.9), angle (45° or 90°), radius (LR or SR), nominal pipe size (NPS), schedule, grade and quantity. We will confirm availability and supply conditions. For drawing-based or custom requirements, you may share your drawings with our sales team by email or WhatsApp after initial contact. Include material grade, dimensions, tolerances, quantity and drawing reference.
