Titanium baskets for electroplating, pickling, passivation and anodizing process lines — welded wire mesh and perforated sheet construction, custom fabricated per process line requirement.
Titanium baskets are process line components used to hold and contain small parts during electroplating, pickling, passivation and anodizing operations. Their open construction allows free flow of process fluids — plating baths, pickle acids or anodizing electrolytes — while securely retaining parts during processing. Titanium's excellent corrosion resistance makes it preferred over stainless steel and other metals for contact with aggressive process chemicals.
Feinuotai supplies titanium baskets through custom fabrication — design matched to process line dimensions, part size and process environment. Basket construction, wire mesh pattern or perforation size, material grade and welding specification are all coordinated per customer requirement.
Two primary construction methods — welded wire mesh and perforated sheet.
Constructed from woven titanium wire mesh — spot-welded to titanium frame rods and assembled into basket shapes. Wire diameter, mesh opening size and frame thickness selected based on part size and process environment. Well-suited for continuous process lines where process fluid flow is critical.
Constructed from titanium perforated sheet — bent, formed and welded into basket shapes. Perforation pattern, open area percentage and sheet thickness matched to part containment requirement and fluid flow need. Perforated sheet baskets offer more consistent open area than mesh.
Custom designed to match your process line layout, part geometry and handling requirement.
Basket structure is designed around three primary inputs — the process line's dimensional constraints, the typical part size and quantity, and the process environment's chemical and temperature requirements. Basket dimensions, wall height, opening size and handle or attachment points are all customized per application. Common basket shapes include rectangular, square and cylindrical.
Basket length, width, height and corner radius specified against process line bath dimensions and part loading requirement.
Titanium TIG welding for frame and mesh sheet joints. Welding specification matched to process environment — higher corrosion resistance applications require more meticulous weld finish.
Custom handle designs for manual or automated handling, and attachment points for hoisting or process line integration.
Titanium baskets are typically produced from Grade 1 or Grade 2 CP titanium — both offer excellent corrosion resistance to the chemicals used in plating, pickling and anodizing process lines. Grade 1 offers slightly better corrosion resistance for the most aggressive environments, while Grade 2 is more widely available and can offer better formability for complex basket shapes. Grade selection is confirmed against your specific process environment.
Open area pattern matched to part size, process fluid flow and required part containment.
The mesh opening size or perforation diameter is selected based on the smallest part dimension — openings must be small enough to prevent parts falling through while allowing maximum process fluid flow. Wire diameter (for mesh baskets) and sheet thickness (for perforated baskets) are selected for mechanical durability considering basket loading weight and process line handling.
Hold parts during plating baths — nickel plating, chrome plating, gold plating and precious metal plating. Titanium baskets avoid bath contamination from stainless steel alternatives.
Parts carriers for aluminum anodizing (hard coat and decorative) and titanium anodizing process lines.
Hold parts during acid pickling, passivation and chemical treatment operations — titanium resists most pickle acid formulations.
Parts carriers for ultrasonic cleaning, vapor degreasing and other surface preparation process lines.
Feinuotai coordinates titanium basket fabrication through qualified partner workshops. The typical process begins with basket design and drawing approval, followed by titanium wire mesh or perforated sheet procurement, TIG welding assembly, surface finish treatment and dimensional inspection. We manage the full process from specification review through delivery.
Weld integrity inspection, corrosion testing and dimensional verification documentation can be coordinated depending on basket application and customer quality requirements.
Titanium offers superior corrosion resistance to a wider range of process chemicals — including many acids and plating bath formulations that attack stainless steel. Titanium baskets also do not contaminate precious metal plating baths (gold, silver, palladium) with trace metal ions from corrosion.
Basket dimensions are fully customized to your process line layout. Provide your bath dimensions, typical part size and quantity requirement, and we will propose the appropriate basket dimensions, mesh opening and construction type.
Yes — MMO (mixed metal oxide) coated titanium baskets are available for electrochemical processes requiring anode function. Other surface treatments can also be coordinated per requirement.
Tell us basket dimensions or bath dimensions, construction type preference (mesh or perforated), mesh/perforation pattern and process environment. Provide your typical part size and quantity requirement where applicable.
